Epic win!

What is epic? Why do we need it? What do we use it for?

The epic drives ambition, sparks imagination, demands action, creates the tenacity which drives creatives and their creations. The narrative which places you at the center of your causal domain, which frames the stakes as the highest accessible to your chosen narrative scaffold, and which convince you that the moment in which it all hangs in the balance is now. The epic narrative builds strong, intensely motivated social networks.

A dark side: The complexity and immense scale of modernity tends to deprotagonize people as social beings. Resorting to simplified, self-aggrandizing narratives preserves or constructs a false sense of dignity; a semi-permeable data bubble which skirts into outright delusion when challenged to preserve itself.
